Flukers Red Coleus Repta-Vines
The vine comes in one piece, about 6 feet long. It consists of two components: a stem and the leaves. The stem is made of a bendable metal wire coated in flexible plastic. It has a main stem with many small branch stems along the way also with metal wires inside for shaping. The leaves are seated on the small branch stems, and they are made of fabric attached to their plastic bases. I couldn't tell what the type of fabric is, but I doubt that it is real silk (from silkworms).
Knocks: The vine arrived with the leaf components still in their molded bunches, at the tips of their branchlets. I spent quite a bit of time splitting them and spreading them to improve the look. The leaves themselves are pigmented on one side only; as a result, I had to make sure to hang the vines "tip-upwards" because otherwise they don't look as good.
I used several of the vines to give some obscurity for my shy pet in her large enclosure, which has worked well without imparting the noxious plastic smell that all-plastic plants can emit.
