Size/Type

Zoo Med Eco Carpet is one of the most popular options to use in a terrarium! This soft, absorbent and non-abrasive terrarium liner works perfectly in terrariums for tortoises, terrestrial turtles, snakes, lizards, and insects.

With substrates, it's important to avoid your critter ingesting any part of it. This carpet is made to avoid accidental ingestion by your animals. Plus, the material is washable, easy to clean and made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials, making it a way better solution for your tank than non-absorbent Astro-turf carpets.

  • Absorbent, non-abrasive carpet for many species or snakes, lizards such as bearded dragons iguanas & chameleons, tortoises & insects
  • Cannot be accidentally ingested
  • Washable & VERY easy to clean!

Lots of people also use Zoo Med Eco Carpet as a protective layer when using under tank heating and loose substrates. (It's also recommended by turtle breeders as carpet aids in muscle development by exercising your turtles' legs).

Tip for gecko owners: Before placing the carpet in your gecko’s cage, take a hot iron and carefully give your reptile carpet a quick spot heat, as it can help eliminate the fiber curls and reduce the risk of your Gecko’s toes getting caught in loose fibers!

Made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles in the USA! So you can take care of your critter AND the planet at the same time!

GREAT

I breed geckos and use this for my gecko hatchlings instead of a soil or other substrate and it works well. Iron it before you use it so their baby toes dont get stuck

Nice, But difficult to clean.

I got this for my leopard gecko and a small amount of calcium got stained on it, I've been using ecoearth coconut fibers and it works amazing. but if you're careful I think this is a nice product.

Great substrate for ball python

Got this for my new ball python. Was using paper towels which just looked sloppy. This is MUCH better. It is very easy to wash and doesn't stink at all. I just spray it off in the shower and wash with mild soap. Then I spray some zoo med wipe out and let it air dry. Get 2 so when you are cleaning one, you can put the other in the cage
