Turn your heaters up in the winter and down in the summer depending on your inside house temperatures! Great for use with Zoo Med's Repticare Rock Heater, Ceramic Heat Emitters, ReptiTherm Under Tank Heaters, heat bulbs (up to 150 watts) as well as other reptile heat devices.
Does not include a thermometer reading, instead use this rheostat in combination with a thermometer, like a Zoo Med Thermometer or a Zoo Med Thermometer/Hygrometer.
For use with:
- Reptile rock heaters
- Reptile heat caves
- Reptile heat pads or under tank heaters
- Reflector spot bulbs
- Infrared spot bulbs
- Ceramic heat emitters
- All other types of reptile heat lamps up to a total of 150 watts maximum
NOTE: Not compatible with fluorescent lamps, mercury vapor bulbs. Not compatible with Reptisun, Avian Sun or Power Sun UV because these lamps need specific line voltages; they cannot be used with dimmers/rheostats

Additional Information:
A rheostat is basically a dimmer. It allows you to manually reduce the amount of power reaching a heater, whereas a thermostat like the 500R senses the temperature and turns the heater on and off accordingly. You can plug up to two heating devices into this temperature controller, but make sure the maximum wattage capability is not exceeded.

SHIPPING COSTS
Most orders will ship for a flat fee of $9.99 for Standard (4-8 business days from date of shipment), which means you can load up your cart and shipping will only be $9.99 to ship the whole thing!
All orders will always be trackable once shipped
Note: Shipping is typically via FedEx, but USPS services may be utilized. Standard shipping typically uses FedEx SmartPost which may handoff to the USPS for final delivery.
PRE-SHIPMENT TIME
Processing time can vary depending on the time of year, but most orders ship after 1-2 business days (M-F). Anything ordered around major holidays will likely experience demand-delays that may add 3-4 days to your processing time before your items ships. This is unavoidable due simply to a higher-than-usual demand around those times.
