The new ReptiSun Compact Fluorescent Lamps use a special UVB transmitting quartz glass for maximum UVB penetration. Cool burning compact fluorescent bulbs screw into standard threaded sockets, eliminating the need for a separate ballast. Lamp can be oriented either vertically or horizontally in your reptile hood or clamp lamp fixture. UVB emissions help prevent or reverse metabolic bone disease and UVA increases feeding, mating, and other natural behaviors. ReptiSun 5.0 is perfect for all tropical species of reptiles and amphibians. 5% cub output, 30% UVA output, full spectrum.

SHIPPING COSTS
Most orders will ship for a flat fee of $9.95 for Standard (4-8 business days from date of shipment), which means you can load up your cart and shipping will only be $9.95 to ship the whole thing!

Note: Shipping is typically via FedEx, but USPS services may be utilized. Standard shipping typically uses FedEx SmartPost which may handoff to the USPS for final delivery. 

PRE-SHIPMENT TIME
Processing time can vary depending on the time of year, but most orders ship after 1-2 business days (M-F). Anything ordered around major holidays will likely experience demand-delays that may add 3-4 days to your processing time before your items ships. This is unavoidable due simply to a higher-than-usual demand around those times.

Thickness of base

Product works well and provides excellent UV for your reptiles. Just be aware the base circumference is wide. This particular bulb would not fit my receptacle so I had to order a different model. Other than that small oversight on my part the bulb worked very well (I did test it in a different receptacle).

My turtle loves it.

I bought this for uvb. It doesn't get warm and seems to work great. My turtle spends most of her day basking since I started using this and the quality of her shell has greatly improved. 10/10 would recommend.
